The Story Behind the Work
About the Owner: Kiran Mulchandani
When I was in first grade, my grandmother taught me how to crochet. Crochet united us across a language barrier, and across our differences. My love for my art has only grown since then, leading me to bridge crochet with the sense of care I feel for senior citizens like my grandmother. As I entered high school at BASIS Phoenix, through fundraising over $98,000 for Blood Cancer United and $5,000 for AllThrive365, I recognized my ability to change the world around me. I have also enjoyed teaching senior citizens in long-term care facilities how to crochet. Working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in those same facilities further instilled in me a sense of respect towards the elderly. At Stitchology, we believe in the power of art to make a positive impact on the world around us. Our handcrafted crochet items are not only beautiful, but also serve to uplift and support our cherished senior citizens. Join our journey of creativity and compassion.
